Festa del Papà

Father’s Day: a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.
This holiday was created to complement Mother’s Day, a holiday that honors mothers and motherhood.
Many countries, such as the US, celebrate it on the third Sunday of June.
In Italy, it is celebrated on March 19th.
- Began in the early decades of the twentieth century
- Father's Day is celebrated on the day of St. Joseph , foster father of Jesus , which is in correspondence with the Feast of St. Joseph
- The traditional dessert is puffs or donuts
- In some places around Italy the desserts vary, but they are all based off a recipe similar to puffs or donuts
